Sir Alex Confident Hernandez Head Injury Not Serious

Sir Alex Ferguson is confident that Javier Hernandez will make a full recovery from his head trauma concern.

The United boss is convinced there is no long-term damage even though there have been claims in Mexico that as a youngster, Hernandez frequently complained of headaches.

Sir Alex said : "I am not aware of that,".

"He was hit on the top of the head with the ball in the early evening. When he was back at the hotel taking his meal he was sick.

"He had headaches, so we removed him to the hospital where he stayed in overnight. They did the MRI scans, released him yesterday and he travelled down today.

"Concussion is something you don't want to happen but usually time heals it and we'll give Javier plenty of that.

"We won't be rushing him back. I'll only bring him back when the doctor tells me I can."

"I look forward to learning very quickly.

"There's some players I can speak to. Some of them speak a bit of Spanish and I'm learning English little-by-little and communicating better with the team.

Nani believes has declared that Manchester United are capable of bridging the gap on European champions Barcelona.

With Lionel Messi missing, it hardly represents an opportunity for revenge in this week's friendly.

It will be a guide though, with Nani convinced United have what it takes to get revenge in Munich next year, when the European Cup will be up for grabs again.

"We have to be ready for the challenge," he said.

"Barcelona play fantastic football and are the best team in the world at present.

"But we have the conditions to be better in the future."

Patrice Evra : I've Told Nasri To Join Manchester United!

Reports are out claiming that Patrice Evra has told Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri to join him at Manchester United.

Nasri is wanted by Manchester City but Evra has intervened and advised his good friend and French international team-mate that the Theatre of Dreams is the only place to be if he wants to win trophies and become a world star.

Evra said: "I've talked a lot with him in the holidays and told him how great it is to play for Manchester United and how important it would be for him to become one of the biggest players in the world.

"I remember I made that little joke saying that he's a prince now but if he wants to be the king then he has to join Man United.

"But that's the reality - and I've told him that. I said, 'If you want to win trophies, you have to come here'.

"In five years I've won 12 trophies and I don't know if I'd have won more than that with another club. So I just told him the truth.

"I don't know how negotiations are at the moment but he has a lot of clubs interested in him and he has to think.

"I just told him how good it would be for him coming here. He will have a nice welcome and I can help as well because I'm French.

"We've spoken a lot in the summer and also when we met up for friendly games with France at the end of the season. It was looking interesting but I don't know, we'll have to see."

It has been revealed that Bolton Wanderers are chasing Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

The Daily Mail has reported that Bolton manager Owen Coyle wants Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck to replace Daniel Sturridge next season.

And Bolton who have also lost Johan Elmander to Galatasaray and have so far failed in their bid for Birmingham's Cameron Jerome, are ready to turn their attentions to Welbeck, who will open talks over a new contract at Old Trafford once Sir Alex Ferguson's side return from their pre-season spell in America.

New England Revolution 1-4 Manchester United - Highlights

Manchester United got their pre-season tour of the US off to a winning start with a 4-1 victory over MLS side New England Revolution in Foxborough, near Boston.

Federico Macheda netted twice off the bench after fellow substitute Michael Owen had opened the scoring just after the break in front of over 50,000 fans at the Gillette Stadium.

Kenny Mansally's rather fortunate effort punctuated the Italian's brace as the Revs threatened to get back in the game at 2-1, but the Premier League champions never really looked in danger of losing a game they controlled from start to finish.

Inter Milan Teammates Expects Sneijder To Join United

Inter Milan teammates expect Wesley Sneijder to move to Manchester United this week.

Inter Milan are resigned to cashing in on the 27-year-old Dutchman.

"Hopefully we can do it again.

"Chicharito has been amazing and it's been the same with the twins (Rafael and Fabio da Silva). I remember one game they both played against Arsenal. They played left and right wing and Fabio scored from a cross by his brother.

"They're extremely talented and hopefully they can keep on making progress."

Sir Alex Wants Dimitar Berbatov For Next Season

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has assured striker Dimitar Berbatov that he has a future at the club.

The Mail on Sunday says the assurance arrives despite the enormous disappointment the Bulgarian suffered when he did not even make the bench for the Champions League final defeat against Barcelona at Wembley.

Despite finishing joint top scorer of the Premier League with 20 goals last season, Berbatov has increasingly been reduced to a bit-part player, with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez preferred for the biggest games.

But Ferguson said: "It was a difficult decision to leave him out of the final and I know he was disappointed.

"But we have had a long chat and he has accepted the decision and is looking forward to the new season."

"There have been a few headers in there. I work on that side of my game because I am not the tallest guy.

"I am working on all aspects of my game - speed, strength, technical ability with the ball, movement - and heading."

"I only have words of thanks for Sir Alex because he has given me a lot of opportunities to play for this club, so I owe him a lot," said Hernandez.

Will Wesley Sneijder Join Manchester United?

It has been reported that Inter Milan are waiting for Manchester United to make a firm offer for Wesley Sneijder.

Milan sources say Inter president Massimo Moratti is convinced United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will move for the Dutch international star now that Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez has agreed a deal with Barcelona.

Moratti will be seeking at least £25 million for Sneijder - and has the backing of new coach Gian Piero Gasperini to sell the Dutchman.

Gasperini doesn't expect to rely on Sneijder for the new season and believes funds raised from his sale can be used to strengthen the team elsewhere.

Ferguson has always had Sneijder high on his shortlist of midfield targets since the turn of the year.

Manchester United Join Race To Sign Bastian Schweinsteiger

Manchester United are set to rival Inter Milan for Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Germany international star has been a long-term favourite of Inter president Massimo Moratti, who would love to bring the 26 year-old to Italy.

Now it's emerged that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a £30 million bid for the Germany ace as he seeks a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes.

Moratti won't allow Schweini to move to Old Trafford without a fight - should Bayern indicate a willingness to sell.

Sir Alex Ferguson To Hold Crunch Talks With Fringe Players

It has been revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson is set to hold crunch talks with his fringe players this week.

The News of the World has reported that Federico Macheda, Wes Brown, Darron Gibson, Jonny Evans and Tom Cleverley will all be told where they stand by the Manchester United chief.

Italian striker Macheda spent a frustrating six months on loan at Sampdoria last season but wants to fight for his place at Old Trafford.

The teenager failed to score in Serie A and it is believed United would either be open to offers or may again loan him out, preferably in England.

Brown, Gibson and Evans are all expected to be told they are up for sale, which could add £15million to Fergie's transfer budget.

However Cleverley is poised to be drafted into the first-team squad.

Juventus, Valencia Chasing Dimitar Berbatov

Juventus and Valencia are in a £14 million battle to sign Dimitar Berbatov.

The News of the World has reported that the Bulgarian striker's future has hung in the balance since he was dropped from the Champions League Final squad.

Spaniards Valencia are struggling financially and need to sell a player - probably midfielder Juan Mata - to raise funds for a straight cash offer.

Italian giants Juve are back in the hunt for marquee signings after years in the wilderness following the 2006 Serie A match- fixing scandal.

United would rather recoup half the £30.5m they paid Spurs three years ago than see him walk away for nothing next summer. But first they must find a striker to replace him.

David De Gea - Excellent Saves and Stops

David De Gea is the new goalkeeper of Manchester United. He will now take over from Edwin van der Sar as the no.1 goalkeeper for the Red Devils.

The 20 year old Spanish U21 goalkeeper left Atletico Madrid and will join the Premier League champions for the 2011/12 season.

With Atletico Madrid, De Gea won the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup and has the pedigree to fill the void left by the legendary Dutchman.

De Gea has made a total of 84 appearances for Atletico Madrid and here are some of his fine saves. Enjoy!

The Daily Star has reported that the French international fullback could become a key figure in United’s bid to land Nasri from Arsenal.

He has made it clear he wants the 24-year-old midfield ace to join United.

United will step up their bid to land Nasri in the next 48 hours and are unfazed by suggestions bitter rivals Manchester City want him too.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson is confident of winning the race even though he cannot match the wages that are on offer at Eastlands.

Fergie is keen to tie up a deal for Nasri before United jet to America on July 11 to begin their summer tour.
